Cambridge Scout District comprises 14 Scout Groups and 5 Explorer Scout Units in and around the City of Cambridge. There are currently 1200 young people aged 6 to 25 (boys and girls) that benefit from the Scout programme and Scouting activities. This is delivered by an enthusiastic team of more than 200 adult volunteers.

Scouting in Cambridge is adventure. It provides an opportunity for young people and adult volunteers to develop leadership and team skills through camping, adventurous activities and international travel.

In 2010/11 Scout Groups in Cambridge ran over 50 camps and expeditions in the UK and Europe. In 2011 nine Explorer Scouts attended the 22nd World Jamboree in Sweden. Activities include camping, hill walking, canoeing, sailing, mountain biking, climbing, abseiling, shooting and archery.
